Priorities for Ward 2
I’m focused on practical leadership that addresses the real challenges facing Ward 2.
These are the four priorities I will bring to City Hall.
Stronger Infrastructure
We must fix the broken water lines in College Park and the chronic drainage issues across our communities, including neighborhoods like Mississippi City, Handsboro, Silver Ridge, the West Side and Broadmoor.
Reduce Flood Insurance Costs
Reduce flood insurance costs by pushing for smarter drainage, development, and infrastructure decisions that lower flood risk over time.
Responsible Growth
Protect neighborhoods from contamination risks, traffic strain, and drainage problems that will result from large-scale proposed development at the former Great Southern Golf Course.
Neighborhood Voice
Keep Ward 2 voices at the table so decisions reflect what residents need. We are committed to transparent leadership.
City Finances
We will work to improve the City of Gulfport's financial condition. Our financial outlook is dismal. We need more fiscal responsibility.
No Increase Taxes
We will oppose new tax burdens on Ward 2 residents. We will push to keep more of our tax dollars working here in Gulfport, not sent away to Jackson.
